December Series: A prayer for ENCOURAGEMENT

It's Monday, I hope your Monday is going well! We can all use encouragement, especially on Mondays, join me today in praying for encouragement for the people that are enslaved to human trafficking.

How discouraging it is when things don't go our way or when someone thinks little of us. How much more must it be to live a life you NEVER would have chosen, doing things that humans should NEVER EVER be FORCED to do?

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10

Heavenly Father,

we fall on our knees before you today in a cry for encouragement for the men, women and children that are enslaved to a life of dehumanization.

We cry out to you to lift up their spirits today, help their hearts to be lifted and lightened. Help them to know that there is more, they are not what they are forced to be.

Strengthen them, help them to know your strength and peace. Help them to know that you are upholding them, that you are right there with them.

Encourage them from discouragement and hopelessness.

Help them to know your radical hope and light.

From www.f-4-c.org:

Men, women and children are trafficked within their own countries and across international borders. Trafficking affects every continent and most countries.
Every country is affected by human trafficking, whether they are an origin country where people are trafficked from; a transit country where people are trafficked through; or a destination country where people are trafficked to. Often a country will be all three. Men, women and children are trafficked.

Due to the hidden and illegal nature of human trafficking, gathering statistics on the scale of the problem is difficult. The following statistics may represent an underestimation of trafficking, but are the most credible and frequently quoted.

People trafficking is the fastest growing means by which people are enslaved, the fastest growing international crime, and one of the largest sources of income for organized crime (The UN Office on Drugs and Crime)

Join me again tomorrow to pray for healing for these people!
