December Series: A prayer for HEALING

We can all use a good dose of healing. Can you imagine though, the huge amount of healing that one needs to go through after a traumatic life ordeal?

"Traffickers and pimps use physical, emotional and psychological abuse to coerce young women and girls into a life of sex trafficking. Traffickers are master manipulators and employ tactics to create trauma bonds with victims. Traffickers often use the threat of violence against victims or victim’s loved ones to secure their submission." from Shared Hope International.

"For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this tent we groan, longing to put on our heavenly dwelling, if indeed by putting it on we may not be found naked. For while we are still in this tent, we groan, being burdened—not that we would be unclothed, but that we would be further clothed, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who has given us the Spirit as a guarantee." -2 Corinthians 5:1-5

Oh Father!

We call to you today in intercession for healing for those that are being victimized. Heal their hearts, their minds, their bodies.

Call them to you that they might have relief from their guilt and shame and hopelessness. Uphold them in courage and hope and a healing hand.

May they be released from this bondage and nightmare that they are living in.

Bring them recovery in all areas necessary. Bring them the right people that they may begin to heal in all the ways needed.

Be their deliverer and their shield. May their bodily hurts not hurt them, may their eyes be lifted to you that they may look beyond their physical pains and sufferings.

Thank you for joining me again today. My heart aches for those enduring such atrocities but I am comforted that our Heavenly Father loves them and rages on their behalf.

Come back on Thursday for another prayer!
