DIY Frappuccino Recipe and Printable Recipe Card

I was never much a coffee person until after I got married. Between my husband's influence and the influence of my Abby and my Kenna friends I have grown quite fond of a nice, warm brew. They started me out pretty gently like dirty chai teas and Caribou's white chocolate mochas. I still don't drink it black but I sure like my coffee with a good dose of creamer. I also fell in love with Starbucks Frappuccinos, can I get an amen?!

I am always pretty leery about trying different knock-off recipes especially when it comes to coffee but I was DESPERATE one morning. I NEEDED coffee and had no money to go and get a nice, heavy sugared one from McDonald's. I looked up the recipe on Pinterest, I had browsed by it before (I'm sorry I cannot find the original post or image or anything - I wrote the recipe down on a scrap piece of paper in my kitchen) and thought I'd try it. It was PERFECT!

So, I thought I'd share it with you!

It's really pretty simple:

  1. just brew 10 cups of your favorite coffee
(ours is the Caribou Daybreak Morning Blend)

  2. 1/2 cup of sugar

  3. 1/2 cup of brown sugar

  4. 1/2 cup of your favorite creamer
(the first time I made this I used my hubbie's Irish Cream - EXCELLENT)

  5. Mix in sugars really well

  6. Add the creamer

  7. Refrigerate until cool (like 4 hours to be icy cold)

Viola! I made a recipe card for you to print off, you can even make it into a really fun gift. Something for a housewarming, a spring party or a friend moving into college. Give her all the fixins with a mason jar and presto, simple, thoughtful and useful gift!
