June Goals | 2 0 1 7 |

June is here. What? That means we have a baby coming any time...(probably by the end of June) but it also means that the year is half over. Are you looking forward to getting 2017 over with, or has it been an ok year for you so far?
May was a bust for my blogging, it was just super necessary to put it on the back burner, but I'm looking forward to getting back into things for June, although most of my June posts are pre-scheduled just to make sure that I have things ready for when Baby comes!

Let's take a look at my goals from April and chat a little about that...

Family:
  1. Memorize 4 verses with the kids.
  2. Make 4 meals each week.
  3. Get outside at least 5 times each week.
Prayer:
  1. Record prayer requests & answers.
  2. Pray for a different person each day.
  3. Memorize 1 verse about prayer.

  2. Blog subscribers up to 50.
  3. Continue scheduling each day.
Personal:
  1. Regulate junk food - everything in moderation.
Not so much, but my weight-gain has been super regulated! WOOP!
  2. Finish reading 2 books (Liked, & Women of Easter).
  3. Do some type of workout each day - even if it's just a walk.
Friends:
  1. Mail 4 notecards this month.
  2. Coffee with Kenna!
  3. Bring surprise flowers to a friend.
It's not really worth it to me to touch on each goal because April to May was just such a difficult time of transition for us. I'm accepting the grace that I just needed rest, and slow through those months of adjusting.

I learned through the two months that even though I don't have a specific "schedule" that the kids and I go by, we have a type of routine where, if it gets thrown off a little and my freedom of choosing what/how to do our day is taken away, I freeze up. It cripples me to the point of depression almost and I have to fight hard to go on.

I ended up having to just sit back, get a little bit done for moving each day and just resting with my boys. It was so hard to feel crippled like that and having some things packed, some things not and random things coming up to throw our day off (like being REQUIRED to leave our house) there was absolutely no way for me to continue blogging regularly or even keeping up with school. I just had to let those two things go and compensate by enjoying my kids (which was a beauty in the midst of my struggling).

So now that we are all moved and settled, we are working at getting life back to it's "norm" and finding a good routine and schedule for us. On that, here are my goals for June (some are carrying over):

Family:
  1. Memorize 4 verses with the kids.
  2. Make 4 meals each week.
  3. Get outside at least 5 times each week.
Prayer:
  1. Record prayer requests & answers.
  2. Pray for a different person each day.
  3. Memorize 1 verse about prayer.
Blogging:
  1. Schedule through June and into July.
  2. Subscribers up to 50.
  3. Write posts that glorify God & reflect His story through my story.
Personal:
  1. Finish reading 2 books on my shelf.
  2. Cut out processed sugars (pop, chips, candy, etc.).
  3. Dig into a devotional or study daily.
Friends:
  1. Mail 4 notecards this month.
  2. Coffee with Kenna!
  3. Bring surprise flowers to a friend.

I'm really looking forward to June and all that it is offering to us this month. My brother's family is moving 10 minutes from us (they're currently 45 away), my nephew's and bff's birthday, baby Lincoln arriving, blossoms, the arrival of summer...June is just looking so beautiful to me.

I hope your June is looking just as stunning!
