the time chamber: book review

my sweet friend Shelby sent me a surprise gift last month in celebration of our "friendaversary" and in it she included the time garden coloring book. it got me hooked! i love it. it took me a bit to adjust to the intricacy of the details (i'm rather used to the thick black lines of a child's coloring book) BUT when it came time to choose a new book after i reviewed God Gave Us Sleep i knew i HAD to get the second coloring book in the series.

i can't wait to get through this one. the images are even more intriguing to me in this second book than the first. while i feel the story is lacking depth, it does fit the illustrations and it's easy enough to just ignore the text on the pages.

if you enjoy coloring i would definitely recommend the time chamber. you can get it on amazon for less than $10. it is a good reason to sit down and have time with your kiddos if they enjoy coloring as well. my kids and i enjoy sitting and coloring and i love that we have something we can do together while i have an adult version rather than succumbing to adolescence again.

do you color with your kids? is there something you and your kids all enjoy doing together?

I received this book from Blogging for Books for this review.
