Day 27: Win or Lose, I love You by Lysa Terkeurst | book review

i HAD to take a party break today, I am just exhausted from all of the chaos of the last month, are you? man. and now i will be moving on to planning our thanksgiving festivities and holiday parties for our little group of friends as well as a couple of birthday parties for them. i just love parties but today called for a rest.


Lysa Terkeurst's newest children's book, Win or Lose I Love You is the perfect book for children beginning at age 2. i think it is important for children to learn early on that while winning is good, losing isn't bad. Lysa relays this honest message so graciously through this precious book.



i was NOT disappointed. as soon as i got the book i sat down with the boys to read it and TOTAL SILENCE. yes. TOTAL. SILENCE. a complete anomaly around our home of three energetic boys. you know it's a good book when they are completely quiet and listening. not even fidgeting.



that's the top reason that i love this book. i also love the quality, strong, sturdy pages that have a nice, recycled matte feel to them, bright colorful pictures that are just adorable!



and a great message. one that is so appropriate for my children. she also included scripture verses in the very back and i love that!



overall i love everything about this book, i can't even think of a negative to add. its message is good, its quality is good, its illustrations are good, nothing negative. i strongly recommend this book, you will not be disappointed.
