I'm going to share with you how to make these cutsie little mini clothespins all pretty like mine!

First off, gather your necessities:
1. cutting board
2. Exacto Knife or a sharp box cutter knife
3. pretty washi tape
4. mini clothes pins (I got mine from the local Walmart but you can get yours anywhere. Here they are on Amazon if you want.)

Once you've got everything together, decide how many you're going to do and what washis you want to use. Rip off a little piece, long enough to pass each end of your clothespin and lay your clothespins along the VERY edge of the tapes. You can get three across successfully, I only made 6 so I did two on each of my three tapes.

Then take your knife and VERY CAREFULLY make a cut right along the inside edge of your clothespin like this:

You might get a little bump by where the wire holds the clothespin together but don't worry about that.
Once you have it sliced along the inside edge, go ahead and slice the ends off as close as you want to. If you leave a little extra you can wrap it around.
When you've got it all trimmed, run your fingernail around the edges and across the top. It can slip so just be sure to not put too much pressure on it.
The go ahead and trim your other pin. It's seriously THAT easy!
I made a little bookmark that you can download to gift them on as a fun little Valentine's day present:

You can add them to other creative little gifts like this:

How will you use your little clothespins? Did you enjoy this simple tutorial for Valentine's Day?
