December Series: A prayer for FREEDOM

Freedom is something that man has fought for from the beginning of ages. Something that our country is founded on is freedom. Freedom for all, freedom of religion, freedom of speech...but what good are all these freedoms if there are people still in bondage?

Today, I want to pray for freedom for the victims of the sex trade. There are so many different areas that they need freedom in, once they do escape the physical bondage, just imagine the bondage that they continue to face each day in their hearts, in their minds, in fear, in doubts, etc...

" Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom." 2 Corinthians 3:17

Oh Father,

we cry out to you today on behalf of those that are in bondage to the most horrendous of captors.

God, free them from those that are keeping them hostage. Send men and women, heroes, on their behalf to stop this heinous crime. To free the men, women and children that are forced to do unspeakable things day in and day out.

Free these people from the guise of guilt and shame that they are tricked into believing.

Free them from the fear that keeps them from standing up for themselves.

Make yourself known to them that they would know your freedom even in the midst of their physical bondage.

Free them by heaping burning guilt and conviction on their captors.

If you even change the heart of one of the vicious people that keep these victims locked up, it will change the life of that victim. We ask you to move on their behalf.

Lead the right people to the right place, that hundreds would be rescued and freed from this crushing life.

Release the victims from the bondage of hurt and fear and anger and hatred - give them freedom to believe your truths.

Send them the right person to speak your truth and your light to their lives that they can be freed through your words and your presence.

Let them know your freedom in the midst of their physical bondage.

It is my heart's prayer that the slavery industry would be 100% eradicated for good. It sickens me that it continues to go on, day, after day, after day. And that it is such a thriving industry.

"In a 2014 report, the Urban Institute estimated that the underground sex economy ranged from $39.9 million in Denver, Colorado, to $290 million in Atlanta, Georgia." from polarisproject.org

Join me again on Monday for anther prayer!
