Good Reads Tuesday: Making it Home

I love a good book, an easy read and something to absorb. That said, I'm SUPER bad at finishing books that don't have a great story line, are biographies, historic or factual. I just. can't. do. it.

However, I try. Making it Home, by Emily T Wierenga, is one of those that I chose to try. It came up on Amazon under my suggested reads from what I had purchased or what I had in my cart (can I get a hands up for all of my fellow "fill the cart until I can buy it" friends?!) aaaaand my mother in law got it for me this Christmas.

I was not disappointed, in fact, I finished it in two days. It is phenomenal. Emily's writing style is conversational and moves along at a fast pace. It's as if you are sitting across from her at your kitchen table and you just asked her to answer the question, "what's your story?"

I laughed, I cried, it moved me Bob...(any Veggie Tales fans out there?!) Seriously though, I had all the emotions. I could relate, I could connect with where her heart was coming from. I cannot adequately describe how much I love this book and connected with the heart of it.

It is amazing how deeply we can connect when the center of everything is Jesus.

For those of you that have struggled with "making it home" I encourage you to read this one. If you can't purchase your own copy, I will send you mine. It is that good - I'm a book hoarder so you know it's gotta be good if I'm willing to pass mine along.

What's the best book that you've read lately? I'd love to know!
