5 on Friday Link up | 5 verses for fear of child birth

So my number three is coming ANY day now. Even after two previous babies, I am terrified of this delivery. The pain of number two keeps coming back to haunt me and I can't help but think, "I can't do this again, I can't handle that pain again, my body isn't going to be able to do that again..." As I was thinking yesterday in the shower (the only quiet time this mama gets with two boys at home) several scripture verses started coming to mind. I decided that would be a great 5 on Friday post so here are a few verses to encourage your heart whether you are facing labor and delivery or something else you that you just feel you don't have the strength for:

1. Isaiah 40:29
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.

2. Isaiah 40:31

But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

3. Philippians 4:13

I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

4. Psalm 28:7-8

The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song.  The LORD is the strength of his people, a fortress of salvation for his anointed one.

5. Isaiah 33:2

O LORD, be gracious to us; we long for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation in time of distress.
